What a mess this has been.
Soooo what's new, what's new...
Had my heart broke...even though there was really nothing for it to be broken for...it was alllll in my head. All because I was too scared to reveal feelings that I wasn't 100% sure on, but I freaked out the way I've done before...on the same person before...and here we are.
I thought something was growing...a relationship was forming perhaps? But alas! I was wrong...again! And to find out through a fucking Facebook announcment really did not help matters. Ah fuck it...moving on
My old job is over...it's literally vanished as every piece of furniture....merchandise...etc...had been removed from the premesis. I start at the bookstore tomorrow. I'm terrified...about everything. Having to learn new procedures. Meeting new people. Never seeing my old friends anymore. Basically losing a comfort zone which, although I complained incessantly for the past three years about it, I felt good about going to. They knew me there...I was greeting (sorta) warmly by my co-workers...sometimes even a customer or two....
This is just nerves talking...I'll be fine...it'll all be fine
I just wish this could have come at a better time...I don't really feel like being nice right now :\

The world would be a better place without a large majority of the people who are currently here...
That being said, I'm grateful for the people who I DO have in my life
They make me feel good about myself...even though I'll complain (on here) how much I can't stand them sometimes
They confuse me
They make me nervous
They tantalize me
They make me laugh
They invigorate me
They intimidate me
I don't remember how we all met...or when we actually become friends...but in the last 3 or 4 years I've finally started to feel "alive" because of you all. Does that even make sense? Yes, yes it does.
It's only when people know you that you are truly a part of the world....

Found this fun little doo-dad and am doing this instead of studying for Deutsch...
01. If you went to Hogwarts, which house would you be sorted in? Ravenclaw...most likely...but I wonder if my secret desire for bad-assery would merit more Slytherin-leaning decision (wow...that made absolutely no sense...)
02. Have you ever been to a Harry Potter midnight release? Nope. I have no one to go with :\
03. What did you think of Deathly Hallows? Loved it! Except for the crappy, way-to-much-of-a-happy-ending...um...end

04. How many times have you reread the books? Every one at least twice (except Deathly Hallows which I plan on re-reading soon) The earlier ones I have defintely read a lot more.
05. Whose death was the saddest? Hedwig, mainly because it was so anti-climatic and sudden. Everyone's death is sad...
06. If you went to Hogwarts, would you rather have a pet owl, cat, or rat? Owl. To paraphrase Hagrid: "Owls are down-right useful creatures..."
07. What did you think of the movie Half-Blood Prince? One of the better ones...it was a lot more humorous, which made me happy. The last few were far too serious and always left me in a depressed state
08. What do you think of Deathly Hallows being split in half? Ok...I suppose. THe book itself holds a lot of information, but I wish they wouldn't have an entire YEAR between each move. Couldn't they just film it all in one go and then show them simultanously so we wouldn't have to wait? Obviously not going to happen...
09. Have you read The Tales of Beedle the Bard? No yet! I will...I swear!
10. When did you first become a Harry Potter fan? I was 11...so that was 10 years ago. Wow.

Alas, this shall not come to pass as it's down to the just the three of us at the LP...and I'm on vacation this week :\
Driving down the street, these gigantic houses...lifestyles of the rich and famous proportions....always seem to have these huge bay/picture windows with no curtain coverings. I can look right into these people's lives, whether they realize it or not I've seen them watching TV...sitting around the kitchen table...chatting in large groups...undressing (no, not really! but honesty, who doesn't close their bedroom blinds at night for christs sake?) It's not like I'm purposely hunkered down in the bushes with a pair of binoculars: this is all observed from the backseat of the car.
It's interesting that these people who can afford to have a summer home right on the beach (and who knows how many more they have)...these people with the driveways filled to the brim with every make and model of luxury known to man...these people who walk around all day with big fake white teeth and skin so tanned it makes you wonder why you even bother to crawl out from under the flourescents of the store to try and get a little color for yourself...these people do very normal things inside their own homes. These monstrosities are actual homes even if they look to perfect to ever be considered a "home."
Just a thought....
Unrelated note: I hate Walgreens
Another unrelated note: In order to wear this new sweatshirt that I just bought, I've cranked the AC all the way up...this would never fly at HOME
Last unrelated note: I'm worried that they've been drinking since 7...it's now 10:15 and they've just gotten to the bar with no end in sight....oh these people will be the death of me....

Stay and move over to the new store?
Pros: 1. will know a lot of the people working there already 2. close to home 3. guaranteed employment (a biggie)
Cons: 1. the principle of the thing! the fact that I've been working at this "family-owned" store for 3 years of my life only to basically be shipped off to some "corporate entity" that swooped in and shut us down 2. seeing the same fucking customers whom I have grown to despise 3. having to wear a blue vest...with a name tag...i'm sorry, that's just too much
Find a new job? (fingers-crossed Barnes and Noble)
Pros: 1. ok,ok...it's a corporation as well...but discounts on all the books I've could ever want or need! 2. different scenery...new co-workers to meet and possibly make friends with...new customers whom I probably won't see on such a regular basis 3. discounts on books! 4. discounts on books!
Cons: 1. the possibility of not being able to find a job and then having to crawl back and hope they'll hire me back (yikes) 2. far away from home/school 3. having to start back at minimum wage...took nearly 2 years to get up to $8 4. crappy retail...again
hmmm...its fucking even...dammit
